  The Backyard Awakens — Issue 0 in progress

  The first chapter of Garden Avalon is being drawn now. Meet the folk who have been living just past the patio all along.

  Issue 0 opens on the morning after the first true frost. The Bloomguard are counting losses along the flower border. The Tool Brigade are hauling the last of the harvest into the shed. And somewhere in the wild growth, the Uncut are quietly opening a door that has been closed for a very long time.

  Seasonal Dom fires up the stove

  A quiet House Folk emerges from beneath the kitchen stove. He keeps no faction. He knows them all.

  Seasonal Dom is our nod to the domovoi of Slavic folklore — the house spirit who lives beneath the stove and mends what breaks in the night.

  Brindle wanders in

  A wandering Brownie with a satchel too big for her arrives at the edge of the garden — carrying messages, small treasures, and the Wisp.

  Brindle is unaligned. She has visited the Bloomguard, worked a season in the Tool Brigade, and once shared a fire with the Toad Queen herself.
